Bea / Hillis Residence, Pasadena, CA 1958

This home is another example of the architects updating one of their 1950's era post and beam classics to a better than new condition.

The project included extensive site work such as retaining walls, planters, slabs and the refurbishing of three entry pools and the swimming pool. All new landscaping and a granite paved driveway were added.

The roofing was stripped down to the sheathing and given a new insulated and slightly pitched roof.

The carport was converted to a bedroom and a bath, and a 3-car garage was added.

The kitchen and baths were remodeled, a wall was removed to enlarge the master bedroom. New air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, glass doors and tile floors were installed.
